Bus 117 students will be arriving close to on time today but on bus 129.
Bus 10 students will be arriving on time but on bus 296 today.
Bus 172 students will be late today. Bus 296 will bring them home on a 2nd run.

The PTO is looking for volunteers to help with set up, manning the color stations to throw powder, monitoring the temporary tattoo table, and clean up after the event is over. Volunteers throwing powder must be 18 years old or older.

The PTO will be holding our 3rd annual Color Run on Saturday September 19 from 10:30am-12:30pm! Your student will be coming home with registration sheets and information on our optional fundraiser to be held through 99Pledges. If you have participated in our past Color Run events, it will be set up the same as before. Kona Ice will have a truck at the event with treats available for purchase as well!
Only one registration form is needed per family, and there is a $5 fee per student, up to $20 per family of 4 or more. The registration fees are NOT the same as the 99Pledges fundraiser. Please turn in registration by Wednesday September 16.
There is also an optional fundraiser that your student can sign up for to earn prizes! Whatever prize tier your student reaches, they will earn all prizes up to and including that level, with one grand prize winner. The grand prize will be announced soon!
We also have an Amazon registry for anyone who would like to help purchase items to be used for the Color Run. All items will be sent directly to the school. There are a number of items on the list that can be purchased outside of Amazon if you’d like to do so, and then deliver yourself to the school prior to the event. If you go this route, we request that you let us know what you’ve purchased so we can remove from the list.

FES Parents & Families -
Starting off the school year has been great but we have had some complaints and questions regarding the blocking of traffic on Center St. in the afternoons from both the community members and the City of Florence public safety. Due to this, please see the attached image for where to park prior to 3:10 pm. We cannot be blocking any part of center street while waiting to enter the parking lot.
We have the 3:10 pm limit on the parking lot due to emergency procedures and the need for normal traffic flow in our parking lot. This was decided jointly with the FES Emergency Planning Team, Boone County Sheriff's Department, Florence PD & Fire, and Boone County EMA.
If you must be in the area prior to 3:10 pm, please utilize the BCS Overflow parking lot on the top right of the image below (at the corners of Center St & Shelby St) or the cemetary loop that is next to the school on Center St. (see left side of image).
Any one who does not follow these guidelines will be cited or ticketed by Florence Police or Boone County Sheriff's office for violating KRS 189.450. To read this statute, please visit: https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46536.

All week August 31 - September 5, the PTO will receive a percentage of sales made with the mobile app and credit given at checkout using the code FLORENCE. Parking will be on the Kindergarten Playground. Please look for Mr. Hanley and Deputy Combs as they will be helping direct traffic to the parking spots. You will have to walk around the building to the front gym doors to enter for the ceremony. Please see the attached map for how Deputy Combs would like parking to be. Please do not arrive to park until after 9:00 am.
The ceremony starts at 9:30 am. Doors will open at approximately 9:10 am once we have all students settled in classrooms and morning routines are complete.
