The Boone County School District is committed to providing a safe and secure working environment for its students, employees, and parents. According to House Bill 136, all school volunteers must have a criminal background check on file to ensure school safety. Before you are able to volunteer, chaperone, etc. your criminal background check must be complete. Your form will be processed, and the results returned to the school. Some convictions require a review. If the conviction is of such a nature that would put the school district at risk, the Superintendent or Principal has the authority to refuse an individual from volunteering in the school district.

A background check currently on file is required to be renewed every school year while the child/ren are attending Florence Elementary School.

**Each individual background check is $10.00. Background checks will NOT be completed without payment.**  Fees are paid to the order of Florence Elementary School.
